Translucent, this is the name of the new translucent and waterproof fabric for sewing raincoats, rain hats, or toiletry bags. A very innovative fabric that combines the qualities of waterproof fabrics on both sides, thanks to its 100% TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) composition. A non-woven fabric (sheet) with an original translucent effect on which we have printed our designs to achieve a very particular result of fun semi-transparencies. Specially designed to make layers and raincoats for the whole family. Water-resistant, it repels water drops and can be the ideal material for a multitude of projects such as water hats, toiletry bags, beach bags, wallets, etc.
In the new spring – summer 2021 fabric collection we have included 4 prints in this new material. Magical unicorns, wild leopards, happy suns, and sweet rhinos are the main characters on this new very special fabric.
We leave you a series of recommendations or help with making before getting to know us one by one:
- Use a Universal needle, thickness 80 / 90.
- Iron the fabric with a piece of cotton over it at a low temperature.
- Do not use pins to hold the fabrics together, since the holes are marked. Use wonder clips or tape.
- If the fabric does not flow smoothly through your sewing machine, use a double feed foot.
