MATERIALS
- 1.5 meters of Sari Gold color Make Up
- 1 meter of Sari Gold color Coral
- 1 meter of Sari Aqua color
- 50 cm of thermo-adhesive interlining
- Thread to match the color of the fabrics
- Tailor´s chalk or fabric marker
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Pins

Recommendations before sewing:
- Take your measurements well and cut the different pieces of the dress based on them. L is the height of each piece and l is the width.
- Universal needle, thickness: 70/80
- We recommend steaming or washing before cutting and sewing.
Yoke:
l = (chest girth / 2) +2 + 4
For example, if the chest girth is 92 cm, l = (92/2) + 2 + 4
L = 9 cm
Cut, in this example, 4 rectangles of 52 x 9 cm
Straps:
Measure from bust to shoulder blade. We call this measurement “o”.
l = 7 cm
L = o + 2
For example, if o = 41 cm, L = 41 + 2 = 43 cm.
In this example, cut 4 straps of 7 x 43 cm.
Volantes para los tirantes:
l = 16 cm
L = strap length + 20
For example, if the strap measures 43 cm, L = 43 + 20 = 63 cm
Cut, in this example, 2 ruffles of 16 x 63 cm.
Color strip / skirt Make Up
l = (yoke width + 20)
In our example, the yoke is 52 cm wide, so l = 52 + 20 = 72 cm
L = 24 cm
Cut, in this example, 2 stripes col. Make Up 72 x 24 cm
Stripe / skirt col. Coral
l = (width of the Make Up stripe + 30)
In our example, the stripe col. Make Up has a width of 72, so l = 72 + 30 = 102 cm
L = 26 cm
Cut, in this example, 2 stripes col. Coral 102 x 26 cm.
Stripe / skirt color. Aqua
l = (width of the Coral stripe + 30)
In our example, the stripe col. Coral has a width of 102, so l = 102 + 30 = 132 cm
L = 26 cm
Cut, in this example, 2 stripes col. 132 x 26 cm aqua.
CUT & SEW
Straps
Fold the ruffles right against the right as you see in the photo. Pin the two short sides together and sew. Don´t forget the safety stitches at the beginning and end of each seam.
Flip the piece so it´s straight and iron. Sew 2 loose thread seams to gather the fabric along each ruffle, the first 5 mm from the edge and the next 8 mm from the edge.
Put a strap with the right side up and align it at the top with the gathered ruffle as you see in the photo. Leave 1 cm without a ruffle at the beginning and end of the strap, and distribute the gathering along the strap. Secure with pins.
Put the other piece of the strap with the right side of the fabric against the gathered ruffle, pinned. Sew 1 cm from the edge.
Turn over, iron, and hold the ruffles as you see in the photo so that they do not bulge to you in the next step.
Face the two non-gathered ruffle pieces right against the right and secure with pins. Be careful not to catch the ruffles with the pins. Sew 1 cm from the edge.
Turn over and straighten, iron. You already have a ruffle strap with is perfectly finished. Repeat the same operation for the other strap.
Dress yoke
Interlining the two pieces of the yoke.
Lay the two interwoven pieces right side up. Pin the straps on each of the yokes as in the photo. Be careful with leaving the ruffles outwards as well.
Face the two non-interlocking pieces of the yoke with the straps, aligning them with the outer sides. Secure with pins and sew 1 cm from the edge.
Flip over and iron the seams.
Face the two short sides of the yoke and secure with pins. Be careful not to leave the ruffles inside. Sew.
The top of your dress is ready! Do not hesitate to try it on to check that it is comfortable and in your size.
Make-up stripe
Face the two pieces of the color make-up skirt right to right and pin the short sides. Sew 1 cm from the edge and overlock the edge or make a zigzag seam.
Sew two loose thread seams to gather along the entire top. Face the gathered part with the yoke. Line up the seams on the short sides of the yoke with those on the fringe. Distribute the gathering along the front evenly until the two pieces have the same outline. Secure with pins and sew 1 cm from the edge.
Overlock the seam, or make a zig-zag stitch. Turn over and iron. Overlock the seam, or make a zig-zag stitch. Turn over and iron.
Coral Stripe
Repeat the same steps as for the color make-up strip.
Aqua strip
Repeat the same steps as for the coral stripe.
