Your sewing projects: Get inspired with our Creative room IV

Today, in our Creative room IV, we want to show you various creations from all around the world that have been made using our Katia Fabrics.

There is a strong desire to make things that are original, different and fun. And this is what we love here at Katia. You can see this for yourself on the social networks using the hashtag #katiafabrics. To follow, we are going to show you a selection of projects to start sewing right now. Are you coming with us?

Creative Room IV: Your projects

>> Daisy, our winner of the Fabrics Xmas Challenge competition, has used the Arty Ethnic poplin fabric to make an awesome dress for her daughter.

On her blog she tells us about her project in more detail. We love how a fabric that seems more appropriate for adults at first sight, works really well for a kid’s garment.

>> Sara Moreno (@fruto_samore) DIY lover and creator of the blog Fruto samore, has used our fabric and patterns to sew for her little ones.

For her little girl she chose the sweatshirt with batwing sleeves pattern and the “Camping Forest” sweat fabric from the Forest collection. An incredible combo as you can see in the photo.

Finally she also sewed a small turban. It’s so cute, don’t you think? She tells us about her sewing experience with our pattern in this post on her blog.

SEWING PROJECTS WITH TUTORIALS

>> Laura (@laura_mpmc), creator of the blog “Mi primera máquina de coser”, (My first sewing machine) surprised us with a step by step tutorial. It shows us how to make a sweatshirt with a draped neckline.

She used our sweet, delicate, printed sweat fabric from the farmers collection, which fits her style perfectly, to make it. You can see the step by step instructions and the beautiful photos of the final result on her blog.

>> The ILOVEKUTCHI blog features two fabrics from our autumn/winter collection in her tutorials.

  1. This lay-n-go toiletry bag is ideal for your make up. To do it she has used two of our poplin fabrics: “Local herbs” & “North scape“, plus the “Local Flowers” jersey fabric for the drawstring casing. Both are useful and attractive. What do you think? Do you feel like having a go at making one?  lay n go ilovekutchi

  2. These small bags in the shape of an envelope are easy to make and can be adapted to different sizes. For this tutorial they have been made in the poplin fabric from the Xmas coming collection.
