We present our very first sewing TOUR “Sew with Katia”.
KATIA FABRICS TOUR: Sew with Katia
A route where international bloggers, who are passionate about sewing, show us their projects using Katia Fabrics patterns and fabrics. A different way to inspire.
‘Diario de Naii’: Sew with Katia
Let’s start with Naii (@diariodenaii), a Brasilian who is an architect by profession but has been based in beautiful Galicia for some years now. She is passionate about both sewing and her kids, for whom she sews most of her projects. In her blog she shares all her projects and furthermore, you can find tutorials and useful reviews. You will not see a single wobbly seam on any of her garments!
To take part in our “Sew with Katia” Tour, she chose one of our most original patterns: Cat House and fish bone and our canvas fabrics, which are ideal for this project, to make it: Canvas black stripes and Canvas Gold Geometric Aqua. You will also need foam padding to give shape to the cat house.
It looks like her little cats have already become quite fond of their new home.
You can see the full post that Naii wrote on her blog.
Secondo Piano Sasha: Sew with Katia
Let’s continue with Sasha (@sasha_secondopiano), an Italian who is a keen handicrafts and art lover. It was love at the first encounter when she first tried her hand at sewing and this is something you can clearly see in all of her projects. She shares each of her projects and some tutorials on social networks and her blog. We are totally in love with her style!
She has taken part in our Tour with two very different projects.
The first is our ¾ Sleeve Shirt Dress which combines perfectly with the Poplin Girl’s Vintage Bike, as you can see in this photo.
The second project is the Man’s Short Sleeve T. Shirt made from the Jersey White Seaworld fabric.
In her Blog you can read the complete review of both projects where it’s made very clear that the patterns come in six languages and that the size adjustments have worked out perfectly for both her and her man.
Point Barre: Sew with Katia
To finish with we present Sabine (@point.barre). From Belgium, she is an engineer, graphic designer, illustrator and last but not least, a sewing and crochet addict, as she describes herself on her Instagram account, which is where you can find her.
Her way of mixing illustration together with sewing really captured our attention, so much so that we wanted to share it with you.
As Sabine does not have her own blog, she has been kind enough to send us the following comments:
“This is a good basic baby pattern that can be customized. I added frills to both the dress straps and the knickers”.
“I like the quality of the poplin which is soft and flexible, perfect for clothing. Furthermore, the colours don’t fade after washing. And finally, I really appreciate having found original unisex prints in the S/S2018 collection”.
