Take part in the Katia Fabrics illustration competition 🎨

Would you like to see one of your illustrations on fabrics by Katia Fabrics? Then, the illustration competition by Katia Fabrics is made for you. We invite you to take part in the 2nd edition of the Katia Fabrics Prints Awards. You just need to create your illustration and send it to us. If you make the winning design, it’ll be featured on one of the new fabrics in the 2025 Spring/Summer Katia Fabrics collection. You’ll also receive €150 worth of Katia products of your choice. 

Last year Jésica Hernández @marigold_patterndesign won. She’s passionate about illustration and also sewing since the pandemic. She surprised us with this pretty design inspired by forests in Jaén (Spain). With this illustration, we made this canvas fabric. 

Requirements to take part in the Katia Fabrics illustration competition 

1. AUTHORSHIP

The illustration must be 100% yours and unpublished, that is, it has not appeared before in any media. 

2. FORMAT

Send your design in a high-resolution digital format: Photoshop (layered PSD) or Illustrator (AI). 

3. THEME

The illustration must be inspired by sewing. 

4. PANTONE

You can use any colors, play with the on-trend colors for SS25 or let your imagination run wild. 

How to take part in our illustration competition? 

1. Create your 100% You design in a digital format.

Click on the following link to fill out the participation form by January 1, 2024, attach your illustration  in a high-resolution digital format, either Photoshop (layered PSD) or Illustrator (AI). Also, introduce yourself! We want to know your story, who you are and why you want to pave your way in the world of textile design. Remember to tell us something about your design: the source of inspiration and any interesting details.

If for whatever reason you can’t attach the illustration to the form, you can send it to fabrics@katia.com. Please state “Katia Fabrics Prints Awards and your name” in the subject line. Nevertheless, remember to fill out the form, otherwise your submission won’t be valid. 

Winning prize 

Members of the Katia Design Team will select the winner of the creative competition among all the proposals received. Above all, we will value the wow factor; we want to reward your creative side, so surprise us!

If your print wins, we’ll get in touch with you. We’ll work to make the illustration part of the new 2025 Spring/Summer Katia Fabrics collection. 

You’ll also receive €150 worth of Katia products of your choice, including meters of the fabric you’ve illustrated so that you can create whatever you like with it.
