How to make a different crochet top with a V-neckline and shoulder pads following the pattern by Dona M Handmade
Hi, I’m Marta Ovelha, and I’m also Dona M Handmade. I’m a Portuguese crochet designer, I live in the most beautiful region in my country, Alentejo. My greatest passion is my daughters, Joana and Carolina or Joka&Lola. But I also have another passion in my life: crochet! Here I share with you the Paraiso Top pattern, a modern design with a crochet stitch that keeps tradition alive. I had the opportunity to try several Katia yarns, but the one I chose for my summer design was Katia Paraiso, a 100% cotton yarn with fantastic colors. I hope you enjoy learning how to make a different crochet top with a deep V-neckline and large shoulder pads. Without a doubt, the yarn, with a color gradient that smells like summer, does the rest of the job!
Videos, crochet classes and community
Four years ago, I started to play with some pieces after watching YouTube videos, and passion came to me immediately, as well as a desire to create. The diversity and simplicity of crochet enchanted me, as well as discovering all kinds of different yarns. I consider my crochet style to be modern, but in keeping with some traditions. I have never stopped since then. Furthermore, I have my own designs and I started to teach crochet, and a new passion was born! I truly love to teach beginner crochet classes. With this little adventure, I suddenly became a small designer and crochet teacher.

Another fantastic thing that crochet has given me is all the people I have met. There is a united community willing to share, and not just here in Portugal, the spirit is the same around the world. I’m a fan and follower of many Spanish crochet designers, they’re really inspirational!
