Eurybia crochet sweater by Blage Crochet Design, a great project for beginners who want to move up!

12 February, 2020

Hello! My name is Blazenka Simic-Boro and I am the designer behind Blage Crochet Design. My mom learned me how to crochet and knit as a child. She was the best teacher and tester; all my patterns are first tested by her. I´ve been designing and making home decor for years, as well as my own clothes and accessories. I always try to create interesting designs using the basic crochet stitches that are also beginner friendly. My patterns are already published in Crochet Now, Interweave Crochet, I Like Crochet, Happily Hooked and Your Crochet & Knitting Magazine. Since a couple of years I´ve been selling my patterns on Etsy, Ravelry and Love Crafts. You can also find me on Instagram @blagecrochetdesign and Pinterest. On Katia´s blog I share a new crochet pattern with you: my Eurybia crochet sweater made with Katia Cotton-Merino Craft. 🌿

Inspiration behind my design

When I was asked to make a design for Katia Lovers and could choose from all of their amazing Katia yarns, I was pretty sure I wanted a crochet sweater for myself. I instantly fell in love with this beautiful color combination from Cotton-Merino Craft because it reminded me of my old favorite knitted sweater. This simple model is crocheted with two different lace patterns; and I named the sweater Eurybia (Greek sea goddess) because of the wave pattern that I used for the front and the back. This stunning crochet sweater design might look difficult at first, but this is a great project for beginners who want to move up!
