Creative contest Katia Designers Wow Edition!
The Katia Designers Wow Edition competition is live! This is the perfect chance to put your talent on the map by designing knitting or crochet garments and accessories. We’re looking for youthful designs and modern patterns created with the new Chunky Wow by Katia yarn. If your proposals are selected, we’ll turn them into Wow Kits available in the upcoming 23/24 fall-winter collection. Take part, put yourself on the map, and win €300-worth of Katia products!
We´re going to create a Wow Kit with you
If you’re an aspiring designer, or you simply want the chance to share your design with the world, this is your chance! Take part in the Katia Designers Wow Edition creative competition and turn your knitting or crochet pattern into a special kit. The new Wow Kits include EVERYTHING —both materials and step-by-step patterns with videos— to wear daring accessories and striking handmade accessories. Sounds good, right? Well, read the requirements if you want to know how to put yourself on the map through a Wow Kit signed by you!
We’re looking for Wow designs!
Any kind of pattern 100% designed and made by you with the new Chunky Wow by Katia yarn goes. Keep in mind that it’ll be part of the 23/24 fall-winter collection!
Requirements (decisive for the design choice)
- Own designs inspired by current fashion trends: must-have garments, star accessories, and Wow-worthy ideas for the home.
- The projects presented must be made in their entirety with Chunky yarn from the new Wow by Katia line.
- Unreleased patterns, that is, the instructions to make them, must not be published in any media.
Knitters & crocheters, ready?
The competition is open now! Until January 31, 2023, so design, knit or crochet and, lastly, share it on Instagram to participate.
There are 2 hashtags to take part in 2 categories for different techniques to choose from:
- #WowKnitters
- Use this hashtag on Instagram when you share photos of your designs knit with straight or circular knitting needles with Chunky yarn by Wow by Katia.
- #WowCrocheters
- Use this hashtag on Instagram when you share photos of your designs crocheted with Chunky yarn by Wow by Katia.

Design selection and prizes
We’ll choose 2 designs: one from the proposals under the hashtag #WowKnitters and another from #WowCrocheters. If your proposal is selected, we’ll get in touch with you to start working together. Exciting! Of course, when the 2023/2024 fall-winter collection is available, we’ll send you 3 Wow by You Kits: for you, for whomever you want, and to give away among your followers. Also, you’ll receive €300-worth of Katia products so that you can carry on creating future designs because this could be the beginning of a beautiful and long-lasting collaboration with Katia… 😉
