Get acquainted with the Farmers and Forest Universes designed by Lady Desidia for the Katia Fabrics Autumn Winter 18/19 collection
Autumn is already under way. The perfect season for walking through the woods, having picnics and enjoying nature. The Farmers and Forest collections are our most autumnal fabric universes. Eight prints designed by the well known illustrator Lady Desidia. Fabrics that carry you away to her special world full of colour and fantasy. Vanessa Borrell, who we find behind the Lady Desidia brand, has successfully portrayed the essence of autumn in each one of her designs. Enjoy sewing the new Autumn Winter 2018/2019 patterns with the poplin, jersey and sweat fabrics that embody this look.
Forest Universe. Lady Desidia
We enter a Universe full of Woodland plants and animals. Colour combinations of autumnal shades of navy blue, tonal browns and green feature strongly in the illustrations of these four fabrics.
Wild forest and wild flowers are two cotton fabrics that combined together perfectly for sewing garments and accessories like this frilled dress or practical padded backpack.
The Forest Universe is completed with a jersey and a sweat/fleece fabric. Two very likeable warm fabrics which are ideal for the cool autumn days. Use our sep by step patterns to sew an original sweat shirt with batwing sleeves or a beautiful baby set.
Farmers Universe. Lady Desidia
Prepare some tasty snacks for a picnic and we’ll provide the clothes. This collection is made up of 2 poplins, a jersey and a sweat/fleece fabric. The Farmers Universe is sweet and soft, with base colours in white, blue and pink and delicate highlight touches of mustard.
Combine the two poplin fabrics and sew a pinafore for your little one or a sewing basket for yourself. Which one do you prefer?
The dungarees & neck warmer pattern or the sweatshirt pattern are two great options for using the sweat/fleece fabric from this collection.
