Group 3 Light: DK yarns

DK or Double Knitting weight yarns are the equivalent of two strands of Fingering weight yarns held together. We recommend using 3.75-4.5-mm knitting needles or 4.5-5.5-mm crochet hook to work comfortably. One ball of 100 grams of (8 ply) DK weight yarn can consist of between0-250 meters. These fine yarns usually have a WPI (Wraps per Inch) of 12-14.
