My Katia Version x 100 Idées & Geneviève Rebeyrol 🎄 From Nordic colorwork sweater to Christmas chic
We continue celebrating Katia’s 75th anniversary with a new edition of My Katia Version, the blog series where designers, knitters, stores and magazines add their personal touch to Katia patterns. On this occasion, 100 Idées magazine presents a Christmas version of a colorwork sweater knitted with Katia Basic Merino.

The editorial team at 100 Idées put their trust in knitter Geneviève Rebeyrol to offer a special version of this pattern, designed to accompany you during the most festive winter moments. Passionate about yarn crafts since an early age, Geneviève enjoys turning each project into a unique piece.
From Nordic sweater to Christmas chic
This is a reinterpretation of the colorwork yoke sweater, originally published in the 2021-2022 Fall-Winter Katia Essentials 107 magazine. The original design, knit with 3 colors of Katia Basic Merino using circular needles, is a must-knit for every modern knitter. Its round yoke with a colorwork motif combines warmth, comfort and technique.
For this version, the team at 100 Idées has decided to highlight its Christmassy vibe and add a chic touch.
Designer Geneviève Rebeyrol worked on this top-down sweater, adapting it to only 2 colors of Katia Basic Merino: grey (13) and ecru (3).
This version stands out for its slightly puffed elbow-length sleeves and the ribbing at the waist with side slits. The result maintains the Nordic essence of the original design, in a style that goes with both more casual looks and festive occasions.
A reinterpretation undersigned by 100 Idées
We wanted to preserve the spirit of the classic colorwork sweater, but with a minimalist vibe,” explain the editors at 100 Idées. The project combines handmade savoir-faire and simple style in a version knitted with Katia Basic Merino, a soft, lightweight yarn that is easy to care for and perfect for everyday garments.
