@OVEJITABE

My name is Teresa, the one who is crazy about yarns, behind Ovejita Be! I’m from Elche but I came to Barcelona 15 years ago. I’ve loved DIY and handicrafts since I was small, and thanks to my mother and grandmother I learnt the base which allowed me to continue learning. I studied Fine Art and am a trained Conservator – Restorer, but my true passions are sheep, yarns and everything to do with them.

Everything started a few years ago with a blog where I showed my felt designs. Little by little I started leaning more about the world of yarns, knitting and crochet: giving classes in both techniques, pattern design and dying my own yarns. But what I do is more than this, I love creating things with my hands and my mission is to create so that others can be creative too. I try not to leave my inner child out of the equation and play with colour and texture whilst trying to incorporate elements to learn and explore new techniques through my designs.

Autumn Moon Shawl @ovejitabe

#AutumnMoonShawl

The “Luna de Otoño” (Autumn Moon) shawl is inspired by nature during this season of the year, the colours of the night and the reflection of the moon on elements of the landscape.

The new Tencel-Merino yarn from the Concept by Katia line has the perfect shine and softness for this type of shawl, with an ideal drape and handle that will make you not want to take it off all autumn.

This shawl has a triangular shape; it is knitted on circular needles and a long cable so all the stitches fit better. There are easy parts in garter stitch and wheat stitch, and more elaborate parts, although still easy to work, in openwork stripes. It allows for multiple colour variations.
