Hello, my name is Victoria and I am behind Living Crochet. I am an architect by profession, but I dedicate part of my free time to three of my passions: decoration, photography and crochet. On my Instagram profile I show everything relating to these passions.
With regard to crochet, no one ever taught me, but to learn was always a pending challenge. A few years ago I decided to learn and taught myself thanks to some Youtube tutorials. Since then, I’ve plunged myself into all the techniques that I’m discovering. I practise continually and get involved in different projects.
For my profession, I have fully developed my creativity. Furthermore, being able to use computerised assisted drawing programs has helped me to start designing patterns, above all in crochet. Actually, although I do other things, I design patterns and teach workshops (mainly in Andalusia). I share my creations and my experiences with the followers, sometimes even through the use of mini videos and express tutorials on Instagram.

For this first Makevolution, the project follows the theme proposed by Katia. Amongst several ideas I had in mind, I opted for a Geometría Natural concept, something very very evocative for me. My resulting project is a basket, a decorative element used to adorn our homes. I wanted to include current decor trends within the design, but to also incorporate my own personal taste, so I chose the boho style with a touch of Nordic.Finally, the inspiration and the development of the project came from the chosen material. I chose Winter Washi and Winter Washi Plus for their wide tonal range. These are definitely the ideal tape yarns to help bring my idea to fruition, and… so! Here it is! I hope you like it.
