Although we try our best to keep the colors be the exact same during the dyeing process of our yarns and threads, sometimes the tones may slightly vary from one batch of balls to another. For this reason, we recommend that you buy all the balls that you need of the same color together. In this way, you increase the probability of receiving balls that from the same batch, and thus avoid differences in tone. You will find the color number and the batch or tinted number on the labels of our balls.

Most of our knitted and crocheted patterns are offered in a wide range of sizes. If you want to make one of our patterns in a size other than those offered, take into account the following steps to calculate the necessary stitches and rounds and adapt the pattern to the desired measurements:
1) Make a drawing of the pattern with the desired measurements. Use the measurements indicated in the Katia pattern as a guide to measure yourself or of a similar garment in the size you want to make. In most cases you will need to measure the width and length of the front, back and sleeves.
2) Make a 10x10 cm swatch in the stitch and the number of rows as indicated in the pattern. Write down the number of stitches and the number of rows.
3) Use the following calculations to check the gauge, calculate how many stitches or rows you will need.
a. WIDTH IN CM x NUMBER OF STITCHES IN SWATCH / 10 = Multiply the width of your pattern drawing (in centimeters) by the number of stitches obtained in the swatch. Divide the result by 10 to calculate the amount of stitches you need.
b. LENGTH IN CM x NUMBER OF ROWS IN SWATCH / 10 = Multiply the length of your pattern drawing (in centimeters) by the number of rows obtained in the swatch. Divide the result by 10 to find out how many rows to crochet or knit.
A table of measurements in centimeters is included in each Katia Fabrics sewing pattern for a series of sizes according to the following categories:
