Hi! I’m Emilie, the head, hands and heart behind Lehandmade. I’m French, but have been living in Madrid for the best part of 10 years.

My love of knit and crochet happened by chance and quite late in life as an adult. Although I like to knit, my first great love is crochet. The type or thickness of the yarn is not important, and I always enjoy being creative with the most natural of fibres possible. I enjoy each step and process of the creation, from the initial concept ideas through to the last stitch. Giving life to an idea is magical.

Lehandmade is the manner I have found to express myself and to unleash the need to create something with my hands. It’s a very personal brand that evolves along with me. And, above all, it is an “excuse” that pushes me to learn, investigate and create more and more. It also allows me to meet a lot of interesting people who are passionate about everything made by hand and who inspire me to share much more than just a few stitches.
