Katia Returns, Exchanges and Refunds Information

No items should be returned without agreement from Katia Customer Services. Any items unexpectedly received by the warehouse will not be processed, returned, or refunded.

All Katia USA customers with eligible purchases made on https://www.katia.com/us have 30 days from purchase to initiate a return.

Clearance, Flash Sale, articles purchased with promotional codes, and other discounted articles are not eligible for return or refund. Digital downloads are not eligible for return or refund.

Exchanges/Replacements

Katia USA only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Please be prepared to send photographic proof as evidence of defects or damages. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exchanges of colors, and replacements for defects are subject to availability.

  • Knots (joins) in yarn are normal and not considered as a defect or damage.
  • Knots/joins happen when yarn breaks or a new spool is joined during manufacturing. This is common practice in the textile industry, and the industry standard allows for up to 4 joins per skein.
  • Katia Yarns has many failsafes in place to avoid excessive joins/knots, but these things do happen.
    • You can snip the knot out and use a proper join (like a Russian Join or Magic Knot), or you may treat it as a new yarn start and weave the ends in as you go, especially if it's a variegated yarn where the change might not be noticeable.

Returns

To return your product(s), please contact Katia Customer Care at usastore@katia.com with your order confirmation number and reason for return. We will review your request and provide the most suitable returns address after our assessment.

  • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item(s). Shipping costs are non-refundable.

To be eligible for a refund/return, your item(s) must be factory-wound, unused, in the same condition they were received, and in the original packaging/labels. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.

We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. On approval, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10 working days.

  • Depending on the original method of payment, it can take 5-7 working days for the funds to arrive back with you after the refund has been processed by Katia.
  • If you’ve have not received your refund amount 7 days after a refund confirmation has been provided, please contact us at usastore@katia.com for further assistance.

Katia USA recommends using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance (where available). Typically, USPS has the most economical rates for return labels with their array of Flat Rate options. Katia is not the courier and cannot guarantee successful delivery.
