Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and with it the 2022 holiday season is about to kick off in style. We’ve put together a beautiful color palette for your Thanksgiving crafting, one that’s classic enough to please the most traditional crafter - and modern enough to entice the more adventurous. These 6 colors will accompany you in knitting and crocheting your gifts, accessories and home projects.
Light Brown
Shades of brown feature prominently in this color palette because of their natural warmth. With more pale yellow and light orange tones than red, these two light brown options will be a perfect almost-neutral color for your projects.
Mustard
Mustard is, in our opinion, the perfect yellow. It is neither too bright nor too dark; indeed it is utterly balanced. When making gifts, you cannot go wrong with this pop of color to suit all the people on your list.
Orange
With a light and a dark offering, orange joins our palette hoping you’ll consider incorporating it in your fall decor items and accessories. The perfect fall color, we couldn’t leave it out for obvious reasons - pumpkin spice, anyone?
Maroon
These beautiful deep reds are the perfect pop of color to add to a winter accessory (think striped hats and scarves) or a warm hand knit or hand crocheted blanket.
Green
We’ve included two different shades of green in our palette: one (lighter, almost - but not quite - neon) is for the adventurous, the other (dark, brooding) for the more traditional among us. We have been unable to pick a favorite, though!
Brown or black
Every color palette requires its own deep, dark brown or black. These two neutrals pair perfectly with the rest of the palette to tie everything together. Use them as the main color, or as the finishing color - at the border of a textured throw, for example.
At Katia, we know the 2022 holidays will keep you busy with guests to welcome, food to be cooked, gifts to be made and wrapped, and errands to run.
