Polar is a spongy yarn with a soft downy surface, ideal for making fantasy winter garments and offered in a range of basic colours. Polar is a great yarn for making fun baby cardigans and velvety girl’s coats. It is also a perfect yarn for making blankets, cushions, warm scarves and easy hats with pom poms. IMPORTANT! Due to the manufacturing characteristics of this article, and in order to obtain an even colour and texture throughout the fabric, we recommend using 2 balls of yarn and working two rows alternately with each ball.
Each ball weighs 100 grams and is 60 meters. This is a heavy weight yarn and we recommend using size 7 - 8mm (10.5 - 11 U.S) knitting needles. 5 balls of yarn are required to make a woman's long sleeve jumper in size 12. To make a 4x4" tension square work 7 sts and 12 rows. Machine wash up to 30º C on a wool cycle. Do not tumble dry.
