On the 16<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> June this year we took part in the <\/span>IV DIY Hunters Day<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> in Madrid.<\/span><\/p>\n

An event organised by the magazine YO DONA<\/a> and the <\/span>HANBOX<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> community where we thoroughly enjoyed the essence of DIY.<\/span><\/p>\n

DIY Hunters Day<\/span><\/h1>\n

On this 4<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> Edition the guys from Handbox organized an inspiring event full of creativity at the Madrid Hub.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two interesting talks took place. The first was given by Sami Garra who showed us the importance of promoting personality in a very special way. And the second by Susana Torralbo who talked about the importance of the well known concept of storytelling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then there were the round table events where the DIY influencers told us about their daily lives as crafters and the significance of social networks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marian Garcia (<\/span>Nairamkitty<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span>) took part in the first of these wearing an awesome dress made with our very own <\/span>ARTY Flowers<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> poplin fabric.<\/span><\/p>\n

Katia Fabrics Taller Tote Bag<\/span><\/h2>\n

Later on there were workshop sessions which offered the opportunity to try out a variety of techniques including bricolage, scrapbooking, painting and of course <\/span>sewing.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were the ones responsible for filling the event with <\/span>fabrics <\/b><\/span>and <\/span>sewing patterns<\/b><\/span>. You can see something from our beautiful space right here.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our workshop consisted of making a Tote Bag from two of our canvas fabrics. We used the <\/span>Tote Bag & Glasses Case<\/span><\/u><\/span> pattern and the <\/span>Black Stripes<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> and <\/span>Gold Llama<\/span><\/u><\/span> canvas fabrics.<\/span>\"tote<\/p>\n

Thanks to <\/span>ALFA<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> we had the most colourful of workshops with their amazing <\/span>ALFA STYLE<\/span><\/u><\/span> sewing machines. <\/span><\/p>\n

10 eager to learn Bloggers took part in the workshop and were all able to sample, cut and sew our patterns and fabrics.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was the result: a reversible Tote bag perfect for everyday use.<\/span><\/p>\n

We wish to thank the amazing organization by YODONA and HANBOX. And of course ALFA HOGAR too for kindly offering us the use of their sewing machines, without them none of this would have been possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

One day to enjoy the Magic of Sewing and handicrafts, in brief, a perfect day.<\/span><\/p>\n
