These measurements are for a head circumference of 19 5\/8\u201d (50 cm).<\/p>\n<p>The first idea is the easiest of all. You only need 1 rectangle of elastic fabric, like our summer fleece or knitted jersey T-shirt fabric for example.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Cut <\/strong>one <strong>rectangular piece <\/strong>of the elastic fabric with the required measurements, following the contour of the head = 5 1\/8\u201d x 19 5\/8\u201d (8 cm x 50 cm).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fold<\/strong> the fabric in half lengthwise, with the right sides of the fabric facing together on the inside. Make sure that the edges are level and <strong>sew<\/strong> to form a tube.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Turn<\/strong> the band out to the right side so the right side of the fabric is on the outside.<\/li>\n<li>Give the fabric strip a good iron.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Join<\/strong> the <strong>ends of the rectangle<\/strong> as shown in the video, making a kind of sandwich to form the crossover of the headband.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sew<\/strong> the two <strong>ends together<\/strong>. Turn out to the right side, leaving the seam facing downwards. This measurement is for a girl\u2019s head circumference of 19 5\/8\u201d (50 cm).<\/p>\n<p>In this case, in addition to the fabric, we also need 5 7\/8\u201d (15 cm) of 15 mm wide elastic.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Cut<\/strong> the <strong>rectangular pieces<\/strong> of fabric out with the required measurements.
