Fasten the side of the hem with backstitch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sew the waist straps<\/strong> to the sides of the apron.<\/li>\n<li>Pass the short end of the top strap through the <strong>karabiner<\/strong>. Join the ends of the strap with backstitch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hem the top<\/strong> of the apron. Sew the neck straps. Fold in half, then in half again, you\u2019ll make a smaller square. On this square, <strong>trace 1\/4 of a circumference<\/strong>. Cut along the outline and this is the top of the hat.<\/li>\n<li>Make a <strong>cut 10\u00a0cm<\/strong> from the edge to make an opening.<\/li>\n<li>Along the entire edge, <strong>make notches 3\u00a0cm<\/strong> apart to make the folds of the hat.<\/li>\n<li>Make the <strong>folds<\/strong> by joining the notches together. Fasten with a straight stitch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sew the bias<\/strong> to the opening or make a double hem for a polished look.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cut a strip<\/strong> that is 12\u00a0cm wide by 62\u00a0cm long.<\/li>\n<li>Fold in half with right sides facing each other and sew the two ends, starting 1 cm from the bottom edge. Do not start sewing right at the edge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Turn the strip<\/strong> inside out.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gather<\/strong> the top of the hat to fit the strap.<\/li>\n<li>From the opening, face the top of the hat with this strip you\u2019ve just made, pin into place to sew with straight stitch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Turn inside<\/strong> out and push the seam inwards.
