The term “voile” comes from French and means veil. It is an extremely light fabric<\/strong>, slightly transparent,<\/strong> and with a multitude of different applications. Its appearance is very similar to poplin fabric, but thinner and lighter. Because it is such fine fabric, it is used in all kinds of designs, also for garments with a double layer<\/strong> of fabric, with ruffles<\/strong>, gathers<\/strong> or drawstrings<\/strong>, and finally as a lining<\/strong>. A fresh and summery fabric<\/em> where they exist to sew spring\/summer garments and accessories.
