Hello, I am Carmen G\u00f3mez, the hands, the head and the heart of El Club de la Calceta<\/strong><\/a>. At the moment I combine my job as a tourist guide with my studies to became a museum curator and my passion for handmade works<\/strong>. After living in Sweden for a year, I come back in Spain and I moved to Toledo where I didn\u2019t know anyone. Back than, the weekends seemed never-ending\u2026 Until one day I bought some yarn <\/strong>and needles<\/strong>! It\u2019s two years that crochet<\/em> become my passion. I love to design shawls<\/strong>, I consider them versatile<\/em> garments that you can wear all year around. For this reason I\u2019m happy to share with you the lace<\/em> shawl<\/em> Anat <\/em>pattern, made with Katia Tencel-Merino<\/em><\/a>. Surely a garment, with a versatile design, ideal to wear all around the seasons.<\/p>\n

El Club de la Calceta<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I started designing, because following patterns was never my thing. The first sweater I knitted was for my father, made following a pattern<\/strong> by Katia<\/strong>, with\u00a0Katia Azteca<\/em><\/a>. He still wears it because it\u2019s warm even if the sleeves have come to his knees! El Club de la Calceta<\/a> begun as a therapy for my anxiety and loneliness, but it has become something more. It allowed me to meet wonderful people that I admire and that I can call friend<\/strong>. It also gave me the opportunity to be part of an incredibly special community. For this, it is an honour to be part of\u00a0 Katia Craft Lovers<\/em><\/a> and share with you the pattern of the lace shawl<\/strong> Anat.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Lace<\/p>\n

Crochet Lace Shawl<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The\u00a0Anat shawl<\/em>, takes its name from the Egyptian goddess, wife of the god Ra and goddess of wisdom, war and love\u2026 I couldn\u2019t choose another one! I\u2019ve designed it thinking about eternity. For this I suggest wearing this garment as a shawl or as a neckerchief<\/em> in both winter<\/em> and summer<\/em>. As you can see, it\u2019s a triangular lace scarf<\/strong>, very versatile, thanks also to\u00a0Tencel-Merino<\/em><\/a> yarn Concept by Katia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      Notes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      • The shawl is triangular<\/strong>, and it is started at the top. It is worked with increases at the sides and in the centre.<\/li>\n
      • Use a higher number crochet hook<\/strong> to achieve an airy open effect which will add drape and a better stitch structure definition to the lace shawl.<\/li>\n
      • The first 3 ch at the start of each row are to raise up the work.<\/li>\n
      • R29<\/strong> and R40<\/strong> have 1 ch at the start of the row to raise up the work. R36 <\/strong>has 4 ch at the start of the row to raise up the work.<\/li>\n
      • Side increases:<\/strong> these are always worked in the ch gap on the previous row and are indicated as (inc) in the pattern.<\/li>\n
