Furthermore, with <em>toe-up<\/em> socks you avoid being left without enough yarn to knit the toe part. If you usually <strong>knit socks<\/strong>\u00a0using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katia.com\/blog\/en\/how-to-knit-socks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">classic method<\/a>, from the leg cuff to the toe, don\u2019t be afraid! Using the size 2 needles in stockinette st: 22 sts &amp; 34 rows = 4&#215;4\u201d (10&#215;10 cm)<\/p>\n<p>The socks are made up of the following sections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Toe<\/li>\n<li>Foot (sole+instep)<\/li>\n<li>Contrast line<\/li>\n<li>Leg section<\/li>\n<li>Ribbing<\/li>\n<li>Heel <em>afterthought<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>These socks are worked in the <strong>round<\/strong> using the <em>magic loop<\/em> method.<\/li>\n<li>They are made separately, but both socks can be worked<strong> together at the same time<\/strong> if wanted.<\/li>\n<li>The <em>eyelet stitch<\/em> design is explained in both writing and <strong>graph<\/strong> format.<\/li>\n<li>The graph is read from right to left and from bottom to top.<\/li>\n<li>All the repeats which are shown between asterisks ** are worked until the end of the row.<\/li>\n<li>The instructions are for a<strong> size 40<\/strong> sock with 28 sts on each needle (56 sts in total), but they can be adapted to other sizes with the help of the <strong>measurement charts<\/strong> (at the end of the pattern).
