Renewing the covers of your cushions is so easy that you will want to change them every season. A simple project, perfect for beginners<\/strong> and with a very colorful result. And to celebrate the feast of love, we have added a most romantic detail<\/strong>. A heart-shaped pocket<\/strong> to keep secret messages for that special person. Surprise this Valentine with this sewing project made by you.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Envelope cushion cover tutorial<\/h2>\n

To make this project you will need the following materials and tools.<\/span><\/p>\n

Materials<\/span><\/h3>\n

\n– Sewing heart pattern and rectangle pattern: PDF-cushion-heart-katia-fabrics<\/a> \u00a0<\/span>
\n– 50 cm of Wolves Coord melange sweat fabric<\/a><\/span>
\n– 20 cm of plain fabric to make the heart<\/span>
\n– Thread according to the fabric<\/span><\/p>\n

\n– Fabric scissors<\/span>
\n– Pins<\/span>
\n– Sewing machine<\/span>
\n– Ruler, paper and pencil<\/span>
\n– Marker<\/span><\/p>\n

\nMaking<\/span><\/h3>\n

\nFirst of all, wash and iron the fabrics before starting the project. Make the cut of the pieces as indicated:<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Cut rectangle pattern on\u00a0 sweater melange Wolves Coord<\/a> 1 time<\/span>
\n\u2022 Cut the heart pattern twice on the plain fabric.<\/span>
\nAll pieces include 0.5 cm seam allowance, unless otherwise indicated.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n1. Mark two knots at 2 and 4 cm at each end of each side.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Make the hem on both short sides, iron nicely, pin and finally sew.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Sew the two pieces of heart-shaped fabric leaving an opening of about 5 cm. Make small cuts through the curved areas every 1.5 cm almost reaching the seam. Turn around and iron.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Position the heart pocket on the cushion and sew leaving the upper part open. After that, fold to form the cushion and sew both sides and turn around.<\/span><\/p>\n
