Those <em>shorts<\/em> were practically indestructible. Furthermore, my mother recycled the ones that weren\u2019t suitable for school anymore and I\u2019d wear them during the summer. The <em>Caroline <\/em><strong>knitting pattern <\/strong>is inspired by those shorts. Moreover, it\u2019s a basic, <strong>easy to knit <\/strong>item which is both comfortable to wear and can be combined with everything. Therefore, I propose that you let your creative side loose with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katia.com\/EN\/yarns-all-lovedenim-1145.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Love Denim<\/strong><\/a> (a recycled yarn in shades of denim blue) colour range. M\u00e9ndez<\/strong>, and like many women of my generation I started making <strong>handicraft projects <\/strong>with my grandmother: crochet rugs, clothes for my dolls and a terrible cover for my <em>Walkman<\/em>. Some time later I learned the Scandinavian knitting technique thanks to my mother-in-law. Suddenly, I was a much quicker knitter and I felt more confident to tackle complicated projects. On Internet I\u2019ve found numerous knitters and crocheters with whom I share my interests through <a href=\"http:\/\/tejiendoenlaisla.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tejiendo en la isla<\/a>\u00a0(Knitting the island). Inspired by them, I organized a hand <strong>knit sock <\/strong>exchange, the <a href=\"https:\/\/tejiendoenlaisla.es\/category\/swapetines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Swapetines<\/a><em><u>.<\/u><\/em> Then I co-founded the Gran Canaria <strong>knitting group<\/strong>, <em>Las Palmas Knits<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8731\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.katia.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/knit-shorts-pattern-circular-needles-slide-600x230.jpg?resize=600%2C230&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Knitted shorts \" width=\"600\" height=\"230\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I like to transmit my passion for knitting and crocheting either as teacher or as a writer specialized in handicraft projects. Join the sts to form a ring, being careful not to twist the sts, and PM at the start of the round.<\/p>\n<p>Work 7 rounds in knit. Cut the yarn and change to <em>Katia Love Denim<\/em> in dark blue. Work 1 round in purl st and 7 more rounds in knit. Fold the <strong>waistband<\/strong> in half lengthwise along the row of purl stitch. Next, sew the waistband down on the inside of the knitted shorts with <strong>Katia Love Denim<\/strong> in cream using the wool sewing needle. Before completely finishing to sew down the waistband, insert the piece of elastic and sew the ends together (overlap one end over the other) using the sewing thread.
