Toni takes part in our <strong>Family &amp; Katia Fabrics<\/strong> section, and explains how important the <strong>family<\/strong> has been throughout his recent sewing adventure. My name is Toni Rovir\u00f3 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/qstoniirt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>@qstoniirt<\/strong> <\/a>. I started sewing fairly recently. At home I had always seen my mother making beautiful things in<strong> crochet.<\/strong> Until one day I saw her making a present for my older brother with the <strong>sewing machine<\/strong>. I loved seeing the whole process that she was following come together, and the final result was spectacular. Not long after I decided to launch myself into my first creation: a<strong> tablet cover<\/strong>, which I\u2019m happy to say I still have. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">When I saw the result I was already thinking about buying <strong>more fabrics<\/strong> so I could sew more things. And as a consequence some very original<a href=\"https:\/\/www.katia.com\/EN\/design-a2-tote-bag-eyeglasses-case-pattern-A2-2418.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> tote bags<\/strong><\/a> started to appear! Soon after, my interest in <strong>making clothing<\/strong> was born and I bought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katia.com\/EN\/design-m1-short-sleeve-t-shirt-pattern-M1-2418.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>my first t-shirt pattern<\/strong><\/a>. Then, I suppose what happens with everyone occurred with me too, I always wanted to go further and further. Which is exactly what I did, and it didn\u2019t take long before new ideas and <strong>accessories<\/strong> were starting to take form: shirts, <strong>trousers<\/strong>, outerwear, underwear, and various accessories for daily use&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8473\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8473\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8473 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.katia.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/toni_camisa_jungla-600x797.jpg?resize=600%2C797&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Toni shirt into the jungle\" width=\"600\" height=\"797\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8473\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.katia.com\/EN\/fabric-p35-jungle-leaves-poplin-fabric-2001-35.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jungle Leaves poplin fabric<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">His new passion: Sewing<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Sewing<\/strong> has become a huge hobby for me and I dedicate all <strong>my free time<\/strong> to it, whilst always trying to think up new ideas and <strong>new projects<\/strong> with the aim of reaching a wider audience. Furthermore, I am very lucky to be able to share <strong>this hobby<\/strong> with other<strong> family members<\/strong>, which subsequently converts it into a great shared activity. Additionally, little by little I am creating the basis of <strong>different wardrobes<\/strong>, not just my own, but also for my sisters who end up getting their share too.
