Triangular Crochet Shawl by Helmi´s Wollexpeditionen: Make a spectacular shawl with 2 balls of Infinity Shawl

28 March, 2019

Shawls are definitely one of the most versatile of garments. They can be worn casually around the neck, or over the shoulders for a more elegant approach, to complete any look. Furthermore, as well as adding personality to the simplest of outfits… they also keep you warm! Which is why Helmut from ‘Helmi’s Woll expeditionen is sharing the tutorial showing how to make this beautiful triangular crochet shawl. This is an easy to make picot edge shawl, and only requires 2 balls of the Perfect Cycle yarn Infinity Shawl to make it. It is also the ideal size to wrap yourself up in when the evenings are still cool. Furthermore, the gradient colour effect features a very original and spectacular “petal border” worked with Air Alpaca & Merino 100%. Meet Helmut and follow his pattern to create the perfect accessory for any occasion!

Triangular Crochet Shawl

My name is Helmut Neuneier and I am 48 years old. My mother taught me to knit and crochet when I was small and I’ve enjoyed doing both ever since. I have developed my own style under the motto: ´Be daring with materials and colours, free yourself from rigid structures´. That’s why I’d like to propose that you make the crochet Helmi’s Triangle Shawl with the multicolour effect created by Infinity Shawl. This amazing yarn with its soft blue-turquoise gradient colour effect is the inspiration behind the design of the triangular crochet shawl. You only need to know chain st and double crochet to make the first part of the shawl. To finish, a petal border made up of a base of chain st arches filled in with double crochet is worked, then completed with a final row of single crochet.

Perfect Cycle Yarns

Infinity Shawl is one of our Perfect Cycle yarns and has been specially designed for accessories made from one ball of yarn. This makes it perfect for the Helmi triangular crochet shawl. The Perfect Cycle ensures that all the balls of yarn start and finish with the same colour and that the gradient effect is identical in all your pieces. The Infinity Shawl colours perfectly compliment the saturated Air Alpaca  tones. Play with your favourite colours and post a comment telling us what your ideal colour combination would be.
