See Don´t See Top by Linda Allegra, a top-down seamless tee pattern to knit on circular needles
I´m Linda Allegra, from Italy, and I am a knitting designer and teacher. My mom taught me to knit when I was a child. I´ve been working in the textile fibers and yarns production process for over 40 years now. What I particularly love is sharing my work (@linda_knitbijoux). In fact, I teach in my hometown Biella. I love top-down constructions and to giving a tailored cut to my patterns. I love to enrich my garments with elaborate stitches that I often modify. Sometimes my source of inspiration is a stitch, a photo… Then I mentally work on it for weeks before I create the garment. I love having balls of yarn in my hands, touching and smelling them. Even these sensations give me the right inspiration. Like for the See Don´t See Top, a top-down seamless tee pattern inspired in the wonderful textures of Katia Soft Lino and Re-Tape.

See don´t See is the effect this particular yarn creates in pure linen: light, soft and fresh. The round and slightly transparent yoke, which it is so good during summer, is worked in the round with increases distributed evenly and regularly. Once the yoke is finished, the work continues in back and forth rows to create two opposite panels that fall without marking the figure. This makes it a wonderfully fresh and summery garment. The i-cord elements in a contrast colour, knitted with the recycled yarn Katia Re-Tape mark the hems, providing a more casual look. With the top-down construction there are no seams, just 100% knitting delight.

Materials. 1 ball of Katia Re-Tape col. 204, 1 ball of Katia Soft Lino col. 604, 3.5mm (US 4) circular needles with 60cm and 100cm cables, 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle and scissors.

This is a top-down seamless tee pattern made in 3 parts, with 2 overlapped panels:
- yoke
- right panel
- left panel
Notes. This pattern is worked top-down, in the round for the yoke, back and forth rows for the overlapped panels. The texture of this yarn creates a soft and light net.
Instructions are for both sizes, except where otherwise is indicated.
When knitting in the round, slm at every beginning. At the yoke, rep ** to the end of rnd.
I-cord bind off: with Katia Re-tape cast on 3sts, k2, k2togtbl,*sl3 from right to left needle, k2, k2togtbl *, rep ** until 3sts left, k1, k2togtbl, pass the k st over the last st, cut yarn and pull it.

With Katia Re-Tape cast on 3sts, *sl3 from right to left needle, k3 *, rep ** 120 times.
Bind off: k1, k2togtbl, pass the k st over the remaining st, cut the yarn and pull it.
With Katia Soft Lino pick up and k120, one from each i-cord st.
Join in the round, pm to mark the beginning of the rnd.
