SEWING TIPS

This is an intermediate pattern that shows how to sew a hood with a spiky crest, a kangaroo type pocket, cuffs and waistband.

Overlock or zig-zag stitch the edges of all the pieces to avoid the fabric edges unravelling.

If it helps you whilst sewing, you can baste the edges of each seam together first before sewing by machine.

Carefully follow all steps of the instruction with the help of the video tutorial, and you’ll have your sweatshirt and trouser set ready to go before you know it. Why not check out this post too where you can learn how to make a pair of trousers with a waistband and cuffs.

All the pieces already have the 3/8″ (1.5 cm) seam allowance included.

We hope that you give it a go and that we can see your results using the hashtag #katiafabrics
