Christmas Stocking

We have used tonal grey and white fabrics from the Xmas collection to make the Christmas stocking.

Materials:

  • Boot pattern and a rectangle 21.5 cm wide x 40cm long.

  • 13 3/4″ (35 cm) of Xmas Snowflakes sweat or fleece fabric and 13 3/4″ (35 cm) of Xmas Santa jersey fabric. It is important to wash and press the fabrics before starting to work with them.

  • 5 7/8” (15 cm) of ribbon.

  • Thread to match the fabric.

Sewing tools:

  • Scissors

  • Pins

  • Iron

  • Sewing machine

  • Ruler, paper and pencil

SEWING TIPS

The first thing you must do after washing and pressing your fabrics is cut out all the pattern pieces.

  • Cut 4 of the rectangular pattern pieces

Ribbon:

  • Cut 1 piece measuring 5 7/8 (15cm) in length.

All the pattern pieces already have a 0.5 cm seam allowance included unless otherwise indicated. Follow our step by step video tutorial with a full explanation showing how to sew the complete boot. You can hand sew the opening on the inside, using an blind stitch, for a better finish. Fold the boot as you prefer and give it a press. To finish, sew on the ribbon so you can hang it in that special place.
