Sew a sweat top and a blouse with the free patterns from the Winners of the Katia Designers Awards 6 competition
Last year at Katia we held a creative design competition to discover enthusiastic new talents and designers like the contest finalist Akukuna DIY. All of us fell in love with her Pegui dress, a sewing pattern that you can download for free at Katia.com. Furthermore, it is an extremely versatile dress that you can sew with our jersey fabric or muslin. In this post, we are sharing the two free patterns from the winners of the Katia Designers Awards 6 competition. On the one hand, we have a woman’s sweat top from the adult category, and on the other, a baby blouse from the infant category. 1. Make a woman’s sweat top with the free sewing patterns
Belén Pérez, winner of the adult category, deigned this beautiful long sleeved drop shoulder sweat top with a cowl neckline. Download the sewing pattern in an A4 format and follow the step-by-step instructions to sew this comfortable and cozy sweat top. 2. Make a baby blouse with the free pattern
Carole Quintens, winner of the infant category, designed this unique blouse with raglan sleeves, a center-back fastening, frill at the start of the neckline and a center-front embroidered smocking detail. We are sharing the free pattern, so you can recreate this beautiful sewing pattern into a dress yourself. We recommend using fabrics like our printed Knit & Sew poplin, Viyela prints or the soft muslins from Katia Fabrics.
