Dungaree romper and hat SAL. Join the group and sew along with our tutorials!
We present our first SAL featuring a baby dungaree romper and hat set. Don’t you know what a SAL is? Don’t worry because we are going to explain it to you right now. SAL comes from the term “sewing along” which means a sewing project that is carried out with other people at the same time within a determined period of time. It’s something you can do from the comfort of your own home while sharing progress and any questions you might have with the rest of the participants from all over the world. Above all it’s a place where you can enjoy and learn a little more about your passion for sewing.
SAL Baby dungaree romper and hat
For our first SAL we propose making a super summery baby set to keep your baby nice and cool as well as protecting him or her from the heat with this reversible hat. The dungaree romper has a front pocket and two straps that cross over at the back and can be adjusted with buttons. The back part of the dungaree romper is gathered. The hat is reversible with one side in poplin fabric and the other in jersey. This is a well rounded project where you will learn a lot of new techniques. The size range for this baby dungaree romper and hat pattern is: 1-3 m, 3-6 m, 6-9 m and 9-12 m.
If you want to participate the first thing you need to do is join the “sewing-along” #katiababydungarees group that we’ve created on Facebook where we will be sharing all the steps, progress and photos of the final projects. Every week there will be video tutorials and tips for each one of the sewing steps, until approximately the 10th June, so that you can take your time whilst calmly sewing your project.

- 80 cm of the main mustard poplin fabric Cosmos
- 25 cm of the secondary jersey fabric UFO Cosmos.
- 11 3/4” (30 cm) of elastic
- 5 7/8″ (15 cm) of lightweight interlining
- 2 pcs wooden buttons 16L (10mm)
