Here at Katia we have been enjoying ourselves with yarns and projects for more than 60 years. This is why we are so happy to present you with Katia Fabrics, a new project that we have put our hearts and souls into.
We warn you right now, you can easily get hooked on sewing. And with Katia Fabrics you are going to transform that special fabric into something unique, and best of all made by you, much quicker than you can imagine.
12 Universes to create
A collection of more than 45 fabrics in different print designs, which are grouped together in 12 universes full of colour, which you can use to make your own garments and accessories from our selection of more than 50 patterns and tutorials.
For this first collection, we have chosen 3 natural fabrics with a cotton base. Poplin: a fresh and easy fabric to sew and jersey: a soft fabric which is a perfect choice for projects where comfort is of key importance. And lastly, canvas: a rustic summery fabric ideal for bags and home accessories.
The sewing patterns are easy to understand and are available in 6 different languages. They come with the corresponding full size pattern and instructions which are both written and drawn in easy to follow diagrams. There are three levels of difficulty: low, medium and expert. The patterns are categorised into sections for Baby, Little (toddlers), Kids, Men/Women and accessories.

And, we are also going to help you develop the confidence and skills required when using the sewing machine. Because we want this to be a space where you can learn, enjoy, create and relax.
You will find tutorials, tips, advice and a lot of inspiration with our “Fabrics Lovers” posts and features from sewing loving bloggers who will share their knowledge and advice with you on a monthly basis.
