Back Step Stitch
“Hi, I´m Gimena Romero and today we´re going to do Back step stitch. This is one of my favourite stitches and can be used to make outlines. Here, it has been used as an outline. Also you can use it to fill in areas: one line lies next to another. This allows you to give meaning to the stitch, to draw with it, to give it volume… As shown in this piece, which is still being worked on, with Cablè 5 from Katia”.

Therefore, I can see the world in a better light…”. She also assures that it “allows her to pay attention to the present, this experience, this instant. Now”. Learn to embroider fearlessly. Let´s go! We recommend that you print the illustration: first to trace the drawing on the fabric; and then, to colour the drawing to your liking. So, it can be used as a guide. Once you have the colours, select the Katia Cablè 5 yarns you´ll need to embroider your bird.
